Q:ACTIVE® Lane Extender technology is the first silicon-based solution developed specifically for Mini SAS cable applications. Integrating Quellan’s QLX components into each end of a passive cable assembly boosts the signal and reduces noise to provide a dramatic decrease in cable gauge and an increase in cable reach - up to three times that of a passive cable.
The QLx600M Mini SAS Active Cable Module is a turnkey solution enabling easy assembly of active Mini SAS cables. Areas for mounting options are identified in the drawing and customers can prototype cables before deciding to acquire a Quick Start License from Quellan, which provides all the drawings and design files to enable a quick time to market solution.
Incorporating Quellan’s QLx4600-SL30 on the module, the QLx600M Mini SAS provides complete functionality for the SAS 2 protocol, including the support of Out-of-Band signaling. The modules are designed in compliance with Quellan’s proposal for the upcoming SAS 2.1 specification that extends SAS 2.0 to enable support for active cables.
